The central Florida-based costuming group, Black Lily Cosplay, was founded back in 2005 by cosplayer Samantha Petrone. Our goal was simple: introduce people to the world of cosplay and introduce cosplayers to each other. In 2006, we launched our first website and by 2008, our site had received over 12,000 visitors.

On a request in late 2008, Samantha visited a fellow cosplayer's niece's birthday party in her first Mermaid Princess costume. The children were enthralled and Samantha knew she had found her calling. The requests for character parties came flowing in and we knew that Black Lily Cosplay had found its new trade. In 2009, Fairytale Friends Character Parties was born! In just a short year, we have performed at over fifty private parties and corporate events and expanded our roster from just a few characters to more than two-dozen...with more still to come!
